SKIN REJUVENATION
Exposure to the sun leads to premature aging, characterized by the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, brown spots and redness on the face, neck, chest, forearms and hands. In addition, there is dilation of the pores, as well as drying and slackening of the skin tissue.
Intense pulsed light (IPL) can treat redness caused by dilated blood vessels and dark spots related to sun exposure. The light transforms into thermal energy by reaching the collagen under the skin's surface. IPL, also known as Photorejuvenation, is a non-invasive technology that erases dark spots and redness while removing rough skin and reducing pore size.
Treatment usually requires 4 to 6 sessions of approximately 30 minutes and provides excellent long-term results. One or two maintenance treatments per year are recommended.
RADIOFREQUENCY FACIAL TREATMENT
Radiofrequency is a technology based on the diffusion of electromagnetic fields with short waves. These waves will cause the rotation of water molecules in the skin, leading the skin to heat up. This heat has a direct effect in stimulating metabolism, resulting in densification of the epidermis on the surface and in depth.
Radiofrequency is, therefore, an effective anti-aging solution to combat signs of aging such as wrinkles and skin sagging.
A radiofrequency treatment typically requires 5 to 10 sessions on average. This mainly depends on the depth of wrinkles and the skin type. The before/after effect of radiofrequency on the face becomes fully visible after a few weeks.

FRACTIONAL LASER
Fractional laser treatment addresses skin sagging, which occurs as fibroblasts become less abundant with age. The gradual loss of these fibroblasts leads to a decrease in hyaluronic acid, as well as two essential skin proteins: collagen and elastin. Without these three components, the skin loses its firmness and elasticity, revealing imperfections on the skin.
Furthermore, over the years, the skin undergoes numerous lesions due to aging and external factors (such as the sun, pollution, lifestyle choices), which are also responsible for issues like brown spots, scars, dull complexion, and more. This technique can exfoliate the skin's surface, removing superficial layers similar to a chemical peel, while also deeply stimulating the skin.
In essence, this treatment is useful for diminishing wrinkles and fine lines, eliminating roughness, evening out the skin tone, refining the skin's texture, tightening enlarged pores, and smoothing scars (especially those left by acne).

HAIR REMOVAL
The hair removal treatment eliminates the hair in a progressive and lasting way. Thanks to the laser's light energy captured by the hair and transmitted to the root, the hair bulb gets destroyed, thus preventing any new regrowth.
The life cycle of a single hair takes place in three phases.
The first phase, called anagen, is hair growth. At the time of the second phase, called catagen, the hair will detach from the bulb and enter the third phase, called telogen, which will lead to hair loss. The complete cycle lasts 8 to 10 months and varies from the area of implantation and the skin characteristics of each individual.
The number of sessions will depend on the hair removal region, but also on the phototypes and hair growth rate of each patient. As a general rule, 6 to 10 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart are necessary to permanently get rid of hair in a particular area.

PIGMENTED LESIONS TREATMENT
Pigmented lesions are among the first signs of aging. They appear as sun lesions, melasma/chloasma, sun spots, freckles, solar lentigo, or uneven skin tone. The causes of it vary; they can be hereditary, caused by UV rays, or can happen due to hormonal changes, such as pregnancy.
To fight them, K2 Institut Esthetics has equipped itself with SharpLight's Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC) technology, which helps you regain your skin's original complexion.
The DPC technology used during the treatment emits pulses at a specific wavelength. This creates light energy that the pigmented lesions then absorb. This absorbed energy then breaks down the pigmentary lesions, making them disappear, all while preserving the rest of your skin.
The treatment is clinically proven as non-invasive, fast and safe. Visit K2 Institut Estehctics and witness great improvement in the appearance of your skin in just 2-6 sessions!
