Rwanda's Journey of Resilience and Growth
Rwanda's history is one of resilience, growth, and transformation. The nation has faced numerous challenges, the most notable being the 1994 genocide. However, the indomitable spirit of the Rwandan people has led the country from those dark times to an era of peace, development, and unity.
From Tragedy to Triumph
Preserving History in Canada
The Canadian Rwandan Community Abroad plays an integral role in ensuring that Rwanda's history is remembered, honoured, and shared. Through community-led initiatives, exhibitions, and events, we aim to educate and promote the understanding of Rwanda's journey in Canada.

Every year, the community gathers to commemorate the victims of the 1994 genocide and reflect upon the lessons learned.
Annual Remembrance Events

Partnering with schools and institutions, the RCA offers educational resources and workshops to bring Rwanda's history to Canadian classrooms.
